I must have missed it then.
It sad when things like this go wrong. Anyway as soon as I find some
time I'll try to write the appropriate function for XEmacs which
should hopefully be relatively trivial.
Inge did you add any other function to the interface and/or do you
plan to?
I have not added anything after Emacs 20.3, but notice that there is
some undocumented stuff in the 20.3 version.
There is support for a keyword :key-sequence that is understood by
the new format menus in Emacs 20.3. The purpose of this is to make a hint
to Emacs of an equivalent keybinding. This makes some Emacs menus start up
MUCH faster. It would be very good if XEmacs would accept this keyword
in its menus. XEmacs has a better implementation of keymaps, so it doesn't
need any hints about equivalent keybindings. I just want XEmacs to ignore
this keyword without complaining. The format for menus in easymenu is
that of XEmacs so adding the new stuff to the XEmacs version of easymenus.el
should be quite easy (at least if XEmacs accepts :key-sequence).
I suggested to the XEmacs-beta the addition of some other stuff supported by
Emacs new menus and (undocumented) by easymenu.el: A keyword :label
and that the keyword :active be allowed in submenus.
I don't kow what has happened with this proposal.
I have no time for this until Christmas (possibly) or february so if
you have time please add the stuff to XEmacs.
/Inge
