The format for menus in easymenu is that of XEmacs so adding the new stuff to the XEmacs version of easymenus.el should be quite easy (at least if XEmacs accepts :key-sequence). I suggested to the XEmacs-beta the addition of some other stuff supported by Emacs new menus and (undocumented) by easymenu.el: A keyword :label and that the keyword :active be allowed in submenus. I don't kow what has happened with this proposal.
