I'm 99% sure a out of the box build under cygwin autodetects X,
gives you both X and native GUI
You can either get the sources and built it yourself or the installer
I'm 100% sure that I just built 21.4 CVSit under Cygwin and it autodetected
both X and the native GUI. The resultant executable will run the Windows GUI
unless it detects a setting for the DISPLAY environment variable, in which
case it tries to run under X.
I must admit, I haven't done much testing of the X version lately.
