If you have received this once or twice before, please excuse me. Got error messages and no send confirmation. On my system starting gnus 5.8.8 ALWAYS crashes xemacs 21.4.6 in X and USUALLY crashes it in the text console. No such problems with 21.1.14. Here is the core file output from gdb, which looks consistent from one crash to another. BTW the shell prompt is garbled with xemacs (not so with emacs).
