I'm sure this has been answered before, but I can't find it... How do I specify the default face in my ~/.Xdefaults file if I compiled with GTK+ toolkit? (I know how to and can successfully set the default face in my initialization file, or I can use the Options:Font menu item.) This doesn't work: Emacs.default.attributeFont: -bitstream-bitstream vera sans mono-medium-r-normal-*-*-70-*-*-m-*-iso8859-15 I also tried Font fontSet FontSet and XEmacs in the appropriate parts of the font description.
