Hello I have been trying to get recent-files to work, but have been unsuccesful. There are many places on the internet where people talk about that recent-files are already included in XEmacs, or that one should get edit-util to get it to work, or even that is an independent package. There are also different ways to get it to work. First add the following lines to your .emacs files (load "recent-files") (recent-files-initialize) This gives me the error: (1) (initialization/error) An error has occurred while loading ~/.emacs: Invalid function: "Recent Files" To ensure normal operation, you should investigate the cause of the error in your initialization file and remove it. Use the `-debug-init' option to XEmacs to view a complete error backtrace. Could you please tell me what went wrong ? Michael Werliin PDI, PDK, Denmark
