Lines, that are continued get almost invisible, if using a pixmap background, e.g. (set-face-background-pixmap 'default "~/old-paper.jpg") The problem seems to be the glyph at the end of the line, which marks the line as a continued line. The text before the glyph is displayed in white color. The problem exists in Linux and Windows version of XEmacs 21.4. XEmacs 21.1.14 did not have this problem.
