I keep hoping that it will get fast enough. :)
Not in the near future -- the canvas is really slow, especially so
when you turn on anti-aliasing. The idea of using canvas to implement
the XEmacs editing window really sounds like a cool hack, but it
shouldn't be confused with reality.
Sprinkle IMHO's as you see fit. :-)
