Can you provide more information, such as trace output that shows if XEmacs is "stuck" in a system call. It might also be useful to run XEmacs with gdb and see where it gets stuck. When you fix the problem, don't forget to send out the patches to <xemacs-patches(a)xemacs.org&gt;. (OK, this last part is optional.:-)
