This is an external application, and
zhu> XEmacs 21.4.12 "Portable Code" configured for
this is a downstream vendor's prebuilt version of XEmacs.
I don't see an XEmacs problem here; the point of having a distribution
vendor is to make sure that things that are independently distributed
cooperate. We can't do anything about Red Hat's decisions about where
to install and look for things. If it's an installation problem, talk
to Red Hat.
If you think it's still an XEmacs problem, or you want help working
around Red Hat or local breakage, you're going to have to give us more
information about the symptoms. Where is ispell installed? What
exactly did you do (and that means keystrokes, mouse clicks, etc)?
What do you expect XEmacs to do in response? What did it do (and that
means exact text of messages)? Etc, etc.
