I just tried XEmacs 21.4.8, the latest Gamma release, compiled it from sources, and I have a problem with it - when exiting XEmacs, or when closing a frame, in the X11 interface, it crashes with a core dump. I looked at your PROBLEMS file, and the most similar problem I found was the problem titled: *** On Solaris 2.6, XEmacs dumps core when exiting. But I am not on Solaris, it happens on remote displays as well, and according to the stack trace it does not happen during a call to XCloseDisplay.
