This is way too much dense to me. I don't think anybody would feel
like reading such a compact block of text. What's more I don't think this big
block you've added belongs to the output of `configure --help'. This help
should stay concise. If people want further detail, there is the INSTALL file
(maybe this one could be extended, but not the usage file please).
BTW, I've started upgrading to autoconf 2.5* (this is going to take
some time) and the help output will probably change a bit.
