Hi Joshua,

The problem is still there in Fedora 23. Has anyone looked at thisyet?
I'm afraid the silence probably indicates that nobody has done that. I tried
to recreate it on my Gentoo-box to check if it is something generic with tcsh
6.18.01 and XEmacs 21.5. Apparently it is not since it works fine. So no more
clues there.
Setting processes process-connection-type to nil creates the same problem both
in XEmacs and GNU Emacs, but you already know that, and I guess that just is
an indication that the pty stuff is vital in this case.
Now 6.18.01 is a rather old version so I would guess Fedora would contain the
latest 6.19 version!? So I downloaded that and built from sources. I could not
recreate the problem. It still works fine.
I think you said you would file a TR on tcsh in Fedora. Did you do that? Maybe
the tcsh maintainer has some ideas?
Another idea is to try build tcsh from the source for an older version than is
included in Fedora to see whether it actually is related to a change in tcsh
behaviour or not.
Yours
