Yes, thanks! And Jerry already beat me to the "are may be" thingy...
If you don't have Motif or Athena, you will not get dialogs or
widgets. I'm not sure, but using --with-dialogs=lucid or
--with-widgets=lucid when you don't have an appropriate widget
probably causes a fatal error in configure.
I'm not sure either, but IIRC the widgets and dialogs options are just
silently ignored in this case. I saw something like that when trying to
get RedHat's XEmacs RPM to use widgets. Need to check.
If this is true, maybe the fatal error or at least a complaint would be
appropriate.
