Adding subdirectories to load-path?

Hi, for said 'xemacs-packages' package, I would like to re-compile patched elisp files. In the bootstrap case, I only have XEmacs installed, and it looks like I need to add the .../lib/xemacs/xemacs-packages/lisp/*/ subdirectories to load-path. Is there an XEmacs equivalent to the GNU Emacs "normal-top-level-add-subdirs-to-load-path" function (see <http://emacswiki.org/emacs/LoadPath>)?
