genauto, autoload for GNU and Xemacs

Hi I just got to know about genauto, a package which will generate autoloads. It looks useful however I could not run it, since autoload.el for emacs-21 (on which this hack relies) and the version I use (xemacs-21.1.14) are sufficiently forked so that I cannot understand them. On the other hand I don't know how much has anyhow changed for autoload withing xemacs-21.4.x (I tried it on the win32 xemacs-21.4.3 and genauto failed also). Can anybody tell me please the difference of autoload for emacs-21 and the latest relevant xemacs version, Thanks Uwe Brauer
