hg log | git log xemacs hg support

Hello I just cloned the hg xemacs rep. When I open say abbrev.el in the lisp directory vc-print-log tells me that the file is *not* under version control! When I open it with GNU emacs it seems to recognise that the file is under version control. However vc-print-log only prints the commit message, but *not* the relevant entry of the ChangeLog entry. That seems to be a problem of hg git log shows both entries Can somebody confirm this please.
