Recent go-mode.el requires find-file.el - views on adding it to the package tree?

Not a problem, I think. If RMS decides to complain, we can decide
what to do then.
- Just byte compiling the file reveals only warnings about
purecopy. We seem to keep calls to purcopy in other files so I
suppose that is how we should do it now also?
If you don't see any reason to improve the code and maintain those
improvements, yes. There's no point in making work for a maintainer
if we can simply patch up.
