installed, but didn't run make from cygwin bash.
Instead I have XEmacs configured to run "cmd /c ..." for
! runs the command dired-do-shell-command
Now I have run
make bindist
from the cygwin shell and the resulting build-1.66-pkg.tar.gz looks
good.
Please give it a try and report back.
