The attached patch fixes this. Please let me know if it doesn't
do quite
what you expect - I have tried to cope with the various clipping and
wrapping scenarios in a sane way.
Well, it works here; looks much nicer.
This also contains Nix's redisplay patch modulo some indent
Thanks!
(There's only one XEmacs bug left annoying preview-latex users, fixed in
<
http://list-archive.xemacs.org/xemacs-patches/200204/msg00148.html>,
which patch has had all the impact of a meringue dropped into a black
hole so there's probably something wrong with it, or it's just too
simple to merit comment.
There's another silly bug to do with glyphs on TTYs leaving debris if
they are attached to multi-line invisible text that abruptly becomes
visible again, but that's not exactly a world-breaker for me, since
preview-latex doesn't do anything useful on TTYs anyway, and I haven't
fixed it yet. Nobody has complained about this bug, probably because
nobody has been stupid enough to run preview-latex on a non-graphics-
capable terminal. Maybe we have found a lower limit to the stupidity of
the average user. :) )
