There's anonymous CVS access to the main BBDB repository:

As so rather unsubtly hinted at on Sunday night, the BBDB is now
available via anonymous CVS.
To check out the sources, you first have to log in. Use the following
command:
cvs -d :pserver:bbdb＠cvs.xemacs.org:/usr/CVSroot login
CVS password: bigbrother
To actually check out the sources, use the following command:
cvs -d :pserver:bbdb＠cvs.xemacs.org:/usr/CVSroot checkout bbdb
