Crash from network X server crash

This bug report will be sent to the XEmacs Development Team, not to your local site managers!! Please write in English, because the XEmacs maintainers do not have translators to read other languages for them. In XEmacs 21.2 (beta18) "Toshima" [Lucid] (i686-pc-linux) of Sat Oct 2 1999 on prime configured using `configure --prefix=/usr --package-path=/var/tmp/xemacs-root/usr/lib/xemacs/xemacs-packages --debug=no --error-checking=none --with-pop --mail-locking=flock --with-mule=no --dynamic=yes --lockdir=/var/lock/xemacs' Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug and the precise symptoms of the bug: I run Xemacs in console mode on a stock Red Hat Linux 6.0 system, and display to an X server on my desktop. The desktop machine had a hardware crash. Xemacs on the console became unresponsive, I try more than one C-g, and eventually it backgrounds its self. I type fg to bring it back to the forground, and I get a message asking if I want to autosave (I say no) then a message asking if I want to quit and dump core, I say no.
