Hi,
I hope someone could help me with this. Tried to compile 21.5.8 on
cygwin and MSVC 6. Both attempts failed miserably. I am able to build
and install 21.4.7, 21.4.8 and 21.5.7.
Here are the problems:
on cygwin, I configured only with --with-mule=yes
This is the sorry end:
make[1]: Entering directory `/xemacs/xemacs-21.5.8/src'
./temacs -nd -no-packages -batch -l
/c/src/tools/xemacs/xemacs-21.5.8/src/../lis

make[1]: *** [xemacs] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/xemacs/xemacs-21.5.8/src'

Under MSVC the build dies here (again configured with MULE=1):

Any insight? It appears that MSVC build leaves me with a xemacs.exe
executable that cannot open any files - all attempts on C-x C-f let me
enter the filename and then end with:
Finding truename: Unknown error, c:\blah.txt
or whatever file I'm trying to open. I'm able to edit and save a file,
but I cannot open it.
Thanks,
Vladimir
