Strange behavior with last-command / update-widget-instance

Hi, since a few cvs updates of XEmacs version 21.2.32 I have a problem with vm version 6.75 regarding a very important feature, namely deletion of a bunch of mails being marked. For doing this I have to call the function vm-next-command-uses-marks and afterwards vm-delete-message. But instead deleting the marked messages only the single one the pointer is on is deleted. Debugging vm-delete-message took me to the following statement in vm-delete.el, line 40: (eq last-command 'vm-next-command-uses-marks) which should clearly yield t but doesn't. This is because last-command has this weird value: (lambda nil update-widget-instances #<x-frame "emacs" 0x77102>) What does this mean? Can I work around this or should I keep away from XEmacs and my mails this weekend ? ;-)) Cheers, Uli -- Dipl.-Ing.
