As a mere user who builds his own copy of xemacs, I don't want to have
to learn another build system and download yet another set of packages
(that I would have to build myself[1]) just so I can build xemacs.
But if a new build system really helps the main developers, then go
ahead. I'll either bite the bullet, or just start using precompiled
binaries.

[1] Prebuilt things tend to go where I don't have write privileges, and
getting the IT guys to do it takes forever, and then it ends up being
available on only one machine, which is almost never what I want.
