As for the patch itself, I really think Ben is right, the syntax
cache
should be buffer-specific.
I think we all agree. The thing is, do we want to do it all for
21.4. I understand Ben has already done quite a lot of work for 21.5
on this. I have Ben's reply marked so I can give him a real reply when
next I a few real hours.
