--pdump may now be default in 21.5. It might have something to do
with that.
Good call! --pdump is not the default in 21.5, however it does have a
little hint "Consider configuring with --pdump." when you configure.
I had reconfigured with --pdump when looking at the typecast problem
and had forgotten about it. When I recompile without the --pdump, the
link works just fine.
However, I will probably just make an alias and forget about
it.
