Hello Andreas,
so far I have no problems to report. Here's what I did, using
(emacs-version) "XEmacs 21.1 (patch 8) \"Bryce Canyon\" [Lucid]
(i386-pc-win32) of Thu Dec 09 1999 on ZJ75T":
I added this to my .emacs and restarted XEmacs:
(setq package-get-download-sites
(append
(quote (("First Packages *TEST* release"
"ftp.xemacs.org"
"xemacs/beta/incoming")))
package-get-download-sites))
I picked
Options
Manage Packages
Add Download Site
First Packages *TEST* release
Then I did List & Install
At first I installed a few less critical packages (for me).
Finally I pigged out on installed all locally outdated packages I had
ever installed!
I have used pcl-cvs, w3, psgml, vc, net-utils, misc-games with no
problems thus far.
Here is what I have installed according to packages-package-list:
`packages-package-list' (buffer: *Hyper Apropos*, mode: Hyper-Apropos)
