Steve's XEmacs.rules and package-compile.el make it all _too_ easy to
build a package, even if one lacks a few brain cells. Sigh. This
one's my bad.
Thanks for the notification, Charles.
I've checked in new sources (0.9.8; updates data-finding code to
conform with the XEmacs 21 interface and provides some compatibility
with That Other Emacs) through CVS. The file permissions fixed
themselves somewhere along the line. :-/ I don't have (or don't know
how to use if I have it) upload access to the FTP server, but for now
you can get
edict-1.02-pkg.tar.gz
edict-1.02-src.tar.gz
relative to the URL
http://turnbull.sk.tsukuba.ac.jp/Tools/XEmacs/packages/edict/
(note that this is an HTTP URL, not FTP). This is still a beta
release. You can also get the README and ChangeLog relative to that
URL.
