I believe that Kai is on holidays this week, which is probably a pain.
I can't do any debugging myself right now, but the easiest way to find
out what is going wrong is to look at the Tramp file name regexp in the
`file-name-handler-alist'.
From a quick glance it seems likely that it's the efs root handler
entry
there that's erroneously triggering Tramp action, but it's hard to be
certain.
If the regexp stuff seems right, it's safe to break into the debugger in
the file name handler code and step through it.
If Kai is away and this is still a problem I will try to have a look at
the code and work out what's broken myself, but I haven't much time at
the moment. :(
