I noticed that xemacs freezes when invoking info (M-x-info) being unable to gunzip bash.info.gz in /usr/share/info. Worked fine when invoked from the Help menu (as long as I didn't ask it to access the top node). After I gunzipped all the files in /usr/local/share/info it works alright. This did not happen with 21.5-b7! It happens both in the gt-version and the no-gtk version, so something has changed (it does not necessarly hang i=on the first gzipped file). I was wondering why xemacs does not make the gzipped format for info files standard?
