I see the redisplay thing but I hardly think its a showstopper.
The last release was almost a year ago. If there's even the
most
remote chance that the next release could be current for anywhere near
as long, I think that leaving this bug in would be unwise.
O.K. I see where you're coming from. There's always that
possibility.
I am hoping that the way things will work in the next cycle will be
that the primary developmental thrust will be towards working on the
21.2 source tree with periodic updates and releases of 21.1.x made as
bug fixes and patches come in. Put another way, even if 21.0.63 is
released with this display problem, there will be a fix (if someone
cares enough to find and fix the problem) released in 21.1.something
in a few weeks.
One of the smoothest upgrade cycles we had was Shelton-macs 19.16
which had periodic patch kits made and I'm hoping that we can
duplicate that in a more formal fashion.
