Try Esc, Alt, or Meta.
Hope this helps,
I'm afraid it doesn't. I haven't found any key that does anything
when the popup menu is there. Neither Esc nor Alt do anything, nor do
Esc-a, Esc-b, ..., Esc-z, C-a, C-b, ..., C-z, Alt-a, Alt-b, ...,
Alt-z. (I got bored and didn't try all of the punctuation marks and
numbers.) (By the way, my keyboard has a key labeled Alt, not Meta,
so maybe XEmacs interprets it as Meta; certainly Alt-x does what I
expect M-x to do)
Even when the menu has keyboard equivalents for commands, hitting
those doesn't do anything.
Is this a bug?
