This is from a debian bug report:
Run
env -i DISPLAY=$DISPLAY XAUTHORITY=$XAUTHORITY LANG=en_US xemacs21-gnome -vanilla
where xemacs21-gnome is an xemacs binary compiled with gnome (mule or
no, canna or no, wnn or no doesn't seem to make a difference).
If you type "(+ 0.0 0.1)" into the *scratch* buffer and eval it you
get "0.1" in the echo area (as expected).
Run
env -i DISPLAY=$DISPLAY XAUTHORITY=$XAUTHORITY LANG=sv_SE xemacs21-gnome -vanilla
If you type the same and eval it you get "0.0" in the echo area (not
the right answer :).
But if the binary is not compiled with gnome no problems. Works as
expected. Also just integers (ie (+ 1 1)) work fine. It's only when
reading floating point numbers that problems occur.
Hope I'm not reporting something already hashed out and discussed.
