(please make a backup before you fiddle with it). Or cvs up your
xemacs source and retry.
Or, after some time, you could consult a friendly XEmacs mirror close
to you and try to install the newest version of eterm which should
simply work after you've also upgraded (and thereby fixed) your local
package database.
