You may want to fix the entry for Korean in the same way as you do for
Japanese. In any case this is just a quick test to see if we can get
it right for more characters than before; obviously it's not an
appropriate fix for somebody who uses Japanese or Korean!

No, not ASCII chars. Just those from the Box Drawings sets (which
display fine as soon as the face changes from bold back to normal
again). Just wanted to let you know about this.
and what you mean are the special characters that you are
configuring Gnus to use.
I meant that I don't really have much of an idea about Mule related
issues and proper configuration. It could very well be (or could it
not?) that what comes across as email is not the same that I see in
the original buffer. Anyway, when I look at my own email, the
graphical characters look different than the section in the original
.gnus file.
