See x_frame_iconified_p in frame-x.c. That is why it says "VISIBLE or
inconified" (which is the XEmacs terminology for "mapped or iconified"),
sure you can make the
difference. Anyway, a title-bar only window is a window-manager only
window. The associated application window is unmapped.
I would then say this an window-maker bug. A title-bar only window is
the NeXT'ish equivalent of being iconified (the icons are always
visible under window-maker I think) so it should just tell the
application it is.
