movemail on Windows 2000

Dear Friends, I've seen various observations concerning movemail on windows operating systems, including one last week on comp.emacs.xemacs. But I have not seen any mention of resolution. Nor was I able to locate a bug report. If my search was defective, I apologize. Anyway, what I observe with 21.4.10 under Windows 2000 is this. I fetchmail to /cygdrive/var/mail/jmadams and setup my gnus email variables correctly. However, the mail is never taken from the fetchmail drop because movemail does nothing. I traced this in edebug to observe the movemail invocation to be as expected: movemail "c:\\cygnus\\var\\mail\\jmadams" "c:\\home\\jmadams\\.emacs-crash-box" Movemail doesn't move the mail and gives an exit status of 0. I tried running movemail by hand with -v and all it said was something like "Checking file access". Is this something we already know how resolve? If not, maybe I can build movemail and step through it in the debugger. Thanks for your input. Regards, -- John Michael Adams
