But I would prefer not merging until the port is reasonably feature- complete, for example there needs to be a convenient way to set face fonts from XEmacs (flashing in the initial frame when fonts are set in init.el is OK -- people who care about that can learn how to configure from gconf or whatever GTK expects). The same issue with Xft has been a consistent annoyance, for example. As long as Jeff is OK with it, I prefer the xemacs/xemacs-gtk strategy.
