AP> Is it repeatable? sadly, no once a day or so (sometimes less frequently), the XEmacs I have dedicated to VM (and running under gdb) crashes - but I can't seem to find a pattern in events leading to a crash note that I always do a fully optimized build as well, which I use for real work (not to say that e-mail isn't sometimes real work... anyway...), and those haven't crashed in weeks (maybe months) BUT, ever since I switched to ediff-setup-windows-plain, those processes almost never create new frames doing xemacs -vanilla is useless, since it's not something that is easily triggered - I have to actually *use* VM to make it tickle the bug -John
