Yes. I know what's happening, but I haven't had time to fix it.
Basically what needs to be done is to hand-load, not require, the
packages from the "expected" place and if that fails spit out a "not
found" warning, plus some information about how to point to it
properly. It's not trivial though, because it means looking up
EMACSPACKAGEPATH or something like that "by hand".
