David, I'm unable to reproduce this by doing:
1) Open a .cpp file.
2) Open another file using a mode from the psgml package.
3) Change back to the .cpp file buffer or open another C++ file.
Could you post more specific steps how to reproduce the problem
(keystrokes, files etc)?
