after exiting the mine game (hmm, i was testing XEmacs) the frame was
not properly redisplayed - a white (white is mines' default bg color)
strip is left in the bottom
i don't know if this is relevant, but i set my default background (sort
of pale beige) via X properties and not through emacs lisp
the glitch is reproducible for me
i experienced something analogous when i tried to change the default
background for particular modes (thank you colin for the suggestion)
(add-hook 'c-mode-common-hook
'(lambda ()
(set-face-background 'default "HotPink" (current-buffer))))
killing a 'bg-colorized' buffer, i was left with a strip of the new
color in the bottom of the frame, iff the bottom of the frame was empty
(no text, i mean)
i don't know if the obvious generalization holds true in all cases
ciao
