Re: revert-without-query no longer working in 21.5.8

Apparently revert-without-query has no effect in 21.5.8. I load a file /tmp/foo into XEmacs, then add its filename to revert-without-query via Customize, change the file's contents on the disk and call M-x revert-buffer afterwards. Result: The buffer doesn't change, i.e. it doesn't reflect the file's updated contents. Reverting with revert-without-query set to nil works fine, but I get the query in the modeline then, of course. (Which I don't want for e.g. viewing logfiles, etc..) This could have been introduced in an earlier version - I can't tell exactly as I haven't built all recent beta versions. It worked ok in 21.5.5. This is on i686-pc-linux, in case that matters.
