Dear Bug Team!
I'm using XEmacs, Cygwin (not native), on Windows XP, and seeing a
weird interaction between how XEmacs is started, running subprocesses,
and display painting.
If I start XEmacs from a shortcut or from an XEmacs bash window, and
then either run a bash sub-shell (M-X shell) or start some other
subprocess (M-Xgnuserver-start), XEmacs stops displaying its windows
correctly.
If, on the other hand, I start XEmacs from a Cygwin xterm, or from
rxvt.exe, I can do the same things without messing up XEmacs.
I've reproduced the same behavior on two XP machines with fresh
installs of both Cygwin and XEmacs.
