 I have a hard time believe he said that.  Do you have a pointer to it ?
 I strongly suspect that he said something else, pretty close but not
 equivalent.  More to the point, it's 100% clear that RMS' "freedom"
implies
 that as a GPL-programmer you should be free to use any GPL code without
 having to care whether or not a non-GPL version of the same API exists.
 The GMP library (and its fgmp replacement) seems particularly relevant in
 this context.

	I dont think its a good idea to have a fight with rms, besides i really agree 
with him this time (well just some times i havent agree with him :) ), we 
*should* put that configure test, yes at the end each one does what he 
pleases inside his computer, but well at least he'd have to hack the 
configure script or configure.in, i dont think the xemacs team would allow 
code that doesnt test for the presence of windows and Qt togheter....i say we 
gotta put the configure test....
