Heh. Time for a history lesson. XEmacs 21.0 started out its life
as
XEmacs 20.5. When it became clear that this version was going to be a
lot different than 20.4, it was renamed to 21.0, however the CVS
repository still refers to it as xemacs-20. Confusing, eh?
Close. What is currently called the 21.0 version is actually branched
off of XEmacs 20.2 and was going to be 20.3 before it hit a run of
delays that have pushed it back over a year. 20.3 and 20.4 are a dead
branch not currently preserved in CVS.
When the sources were first put under CVS two years ago, I made two
separate trees for the two separate versions we had at the time XEmacs
19.15 and 20.0. Not thinking ahead, I created and named the v20 tree
`xemacs-20.0' (Jareth renamed it to `xemacs-20' on
cvs.xemacs.org, my
own tree is still named `xemacs-20.0').
At any rate, I won't be very disappointed if the next maintainer
rearranges things in more logical fashion.
