I have previously complained about the fact that I lost C-c C-c in my
own gnus builds (built with 21.4+):
I can vouch for the fact that Didier's patch lets me build a
well-functioning gnus package with 21.4. I would like to see the
patch in 21.4.

There's a patch at [1] that seems to be the fix for this. It's already
applied to 21.5, but I think it would be good to get this stuff working
on 21.4 too. A downloadable version that applies cleanly to
release-21-4 is at [2]. What do you think, Stephen?
