I spent several hours on trying to compile XEmacs with mingw32 a
year
or two ago, without much joy. I think it is a very worthwhile
endeavor and would cheer you on and help you if my time allowed. I
don't have any place for you to start, however.
What would the main problems be? We have seen XEmacs compiled recently
(during the last ten years ;-) both on cygwin and native. There has been
issues, yes, but not many. It seems from your experience that Mingw raises
more challenges?
