Please stop assuming personal computers.
I haven’t tried, but if you’ve access to the machine the X server’s running
on, what’s preventing you creating a directory under /tmp/, adding a
fonts.alias file to it with such a mapping, and adding that directory to
your font path with xset fp+ ?
