In xemacs -vanilla, it should be nil.
(find-user-init-file)
does find it.
And it's in ~/.xemacs/init.el? Did you try loading it with the Load
Init Files button? If not, would you try that? If that works, I'm
really not sure what might be going wrong. Mike, any ideas?
